Probiotic Challenge
How often do you eat yogurt, sauerkraut, or other fermented foods?
This weekโs challenge is one of my favorites because not only does it expand your food choices โ itโs great for your gut.
CHALLENGE: EAT AT LEAST ONE PROBIOTIC-RICH FOOD every day this week!
Probiotics are fermented foods that contain beneficial (โthe goodโ) bacteria that help with your digestion, immune system, and overall health! These bacteria make vitamins and hormones and also have an effect on your mood AND energy level.
Some common probiotic foods:
- Yogurt with live cultures
- Sauerkraut
- Kimchi
- Tempeh
- Kefir
- Kombucha drinks
Your job this week is to eat just ONE SERVING a day!
Some ideas: Add a side of sauerkraut at lunch, or stir some kimchi into your salad. Add some yogurt or kefir to a smoothie, or sip some kombucha as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up!
